No Data Corruption & Data Integrity in Cloud Website Hosting
The integrity of the data which you upload to your new cloud website hosting account will be guaranteed by the ZFS file system that we take advantage of on our cloud platform. Most of the web hosting providers, like our firm, use multiple hard disks to store content and since the drives work in a RAID, the same information is synchronized between the drives all of the time. If a file on a drive becomes corrupted for reasons unknown, however, it is likely that it will be duplicated on the other drives because alternative file systems do not feature special checks for this. In contrast to them, ZFS applies a digital fingerprint, or a checksum, for each and every file. In the event that a file gets corrupted, its checksum will not match what ZFS has as a record for it, and the bad copy shall be replaced with a good one from a different hard drive. Because this happens right away, there's no risk for any of your files to ever be corrupted.
No Data Corruption & Data Integrity in Semi-dedicated Servers
If you obtain one of our semi-dedicated server packages, you will not need to be concerned about silent data corruption as we use ZFS - an advanced file system which keeps track of all files in real time. Whenever you upload a file to your hosting account, ZFS will assign a unique digital fingerprint to it - the so-called checksum. This file will be synchronized between several NVMe drives for redundancy, so if one drive fails, the other ones will take control. ZFS compares the checksum of all the copies on the different drives and in case it detects a damaged copy, it replaces it with a healthy one from another drive. This happens immediately, so there will be no risk for any part of your content at any time. In contrast, all the other file systems perform checks after a system breakdown, but since they don't use anything similar to the checksums which ZFS uses, they are unable to detect silently corrupted files, so a bad copy could be replicated on the other disks as well and you can lose critical information. As this isn't the case with ZFS, we guarantee the integrity of each and every file you upload no matter what.
