A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to inactive addresses under the same domain. For example, an email sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. Thus, you can get email messages from acquaintances or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at some point you may start receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting

In case you have a Linux cloud website hosting with us and you want to activate the catch-all functionality for a specific e-mailbox that you have in the account, it will take literally only a single mouse click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to achieve that. A catch-all button is available on the right side of each and every email address that you have set up under any domain hosted in your account. You can select one email address per domain name by clicking on the respective button. This will enable the feature instantaneously, so all emails sent to miswritten addresses will be received there. Clicking on the button again will turn off the catch-all feature. If you’ve got activated email forwarding, our system will display a warning note and you won’t be able to activate the catch-all feature unless you remove the forwarding or you can simply choose another mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

You’ll be able to configure a catch-all email address with no more than a click if you have a semi-dedicated server with our company and your email messages are handled by our cloud web hosting platform. All the addresses that you create using any domain hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be enumerated in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a tiny "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to activate this feature will be to click that icon. In the same manner you’ll be able to remove the feature, if you do not need it any longer. Our system will notify you in case you are trying to enable a second catch-all email address for a specific domain or in case there is activated email forwarding, but it’ll never alter or deactivate any feature automatically and without your consent.
